He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977 as a Yeoman and received an honorable discharge following his time in active service. During the end of the Vietnam War, he was stationed aboard the USS Oriskany CVA 34. Guy was an academic, a romantic, a mentor, a patriot, a student of logic and reason, a defender of truth and faith, and a devout God-fearing servant of the Lord. He vehemently endeavored to ameliorate not only the life of his family, but the world as a whole. He will unequivocally be missed and celebrated greatly.
